Open to incoming Kinder-8th grade both SOCHH and non-SOCHH students. Fridays 9am-1pm, offered in 32 week or 8 week sessions.

Science curriculum brought to life! The intention of this program is to present the Next Generation Science Standards to students in a hands-on, integrative way. Students learn complex scientific concepts best when they can actually see them in action, when they can use their creativity and critical thinking skills to solve a problem, and when they can move beyond a science worksheet and into the real world. Students will be immersed in a monthly science theme and will travel through “innovation stations” with science experiments, engineering projects, art instruction, S.T.E.A.M. projects, “curiosity adventures,” and more. Some examples of block themes are: Mad Science (Chemistry), Fun with Physics!, Art in Action (The integration of art and sciences), and Winter Wonderland (The study of weather and climate).

Students in grades Kinder through Eighth grade are welcome to join and will be placed into age appropriate Learning Pods. This program is ideal for families looking for an additional day of academic exploration that will compliment core studies while serving as a creative outlet. Great for families who need an additional day of structured “school” activities that is instructor led, working parents who are homeschooling, and families seeking a hands-on learning experience.
